Kind-hearted employees from Secure Trust Bank gave up their time to do essential painting in our gardens.
It was the second year in a row that employees from Secure Trust Bank in Solihull had offered their services as part of the company’s volunteer programme.
The team of eight took on the messy task of sanding down and painting the railings around the sunken garden. It was a long and tiring day but everyone was delighted with the end result.
One volunteer said: “We really enjoyed the day. We were doing something different and it was great to see how much better the garden looked with newly-painted railings. We would like to volunteer to come back and doing something else.”
Andrea Ward, St Peter’s Chief Executive added: “The benefits of volunteering are two-fold. We here at St Peter’s benefit as extra jobs are completed for the benefit of our community. The volunteers benefit from taking a day away from the office to participate in community projects as a team.”
She added: “We’re extremely grateful to the team from Secure Trust for the wonderful work they have done here. Thankfully the weather turned out to be lovely on the day.”
