|Phil Knight – Chair Phil has 36 years asset management experience in the housing and local authority sectors from surveyor through to director level roles. For the last 8 years Phil has had his own consultancy company and has led a number of key areas of work for Solihull Community Homes. Phil was a board member for 10 years at Pioneer Group.Phil is Chair of Upcycle, a furniture recycling business that helps people transform their homes with affordable, high quality goods.|
|Lisa Barnes – Vice Chair Lisa co-founded Fractal Edge, a successful technology company. She is co-founding partner of an organisation developing innovative renewable energy technology and heads up the strategy and business development for a German zero waste technology company. She has previous board member and extensive experience as a director, in business and community development, stakeholder management. Lisa was a Trustee of the Tabernacle Trust (an award winning charitable organisation) where she helped raise over £5m to refurbish a building as a multi-purpose community arts centre.|
|Alan Hamer Alan is currently Director of Care at Queen Alexandra College, a further education college, respite and supported living provider for student and clients with visual impairment, autism and other disabilities, responsible for the care services and accommodation for 70 disabled young people. A member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and is currently studying for a post-grad certificate in Strategic Management & Leadership.|
|Mark Pinnell Mark is Head of Asset Management and Development at Solihull Community Housing where he has worked for the last 15 years. He has recently re-written their 30 year plan and associated Asset Management Strategy. Mark has led a number of significant asset management projects, has chaired a number of project groups, hosted tenant and contractor events and has been involved with the North Solihull Regeneration Partnership since its conception.|
|Ken Hazeldene Ken is a trustee of St Peter’s Urban Village Trust and a member of its Finance & General Purposes Committee. He has extensive experience in social housing management in local authorities and housing associations. Ken is retired but is very active in community based projects, is Chair of North Worcestershire Hate Incident Partnership; he has recently retired as a JP and has been appointed as Chair of North Worcestershire Independent Advisory Group for West Mercia & Warwickshire Police.|
| Faisal Nasim Faisal is a chartered Accountant and has worked in various roles across Investment Banking, Private Banking & Wealth Management. He has extensive experience in working with Boards to ensure appropriate Governance arrangements & Risk Management practices are in place. Prior to working in the Banking industry, Faisal has worked as a Financial Controller & Internal Auditor within the Automotive Sector.
Faisal currently works as a Senior Risk Manager for Solihull based, Secure Trust Bank where he is responsible for the design & implementation of the Bank’s Risk Framework, Operational Risk Capital & Risk Reporting.Faisal was born and raised in Saltley and continues to maintain close ties to the local community within which St Peter’s is based.
|Karen Edwards – Independent member of Audit and Governance Committee.Karen is Research Finance & Compliance Manager at Coventry University where she is currently managing and reporting on the finances and risks for a portfolio of research related projects that receive grants from a wide variety of Public & Private funders. As part of the role Karen is also providing assurance to Senior Management teams, across the University, on the effectiveness of the internal controls in place to manage the risks associated with the often complex contractual requirements of the funder.|
